Job Summary
Supervise a team of 30+ hourly employees in a high-volume food production environment, managing daily manpower planning, shift assignments, and staffing needs to meet production requirements. Enforce FDA, HACCP, and safety regulations while maintaining inventory accuracy and monitoring thaw areas for high-value items. Coordinate deliveries, oversee preventive maintenance schedules, and prepare management reports on attendance, labor, and compliance. Lead performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions for staff, ensuring adherence to union agreements and wage policies. Train employees on work procedures to maximize productivity and minimize labor and food expenses.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment
- Strong and effective leadership skills
- Ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees
- Ability to train others
- Ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Current or previous labor relations experience
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish (listed as a plus)
