Job Summary
Supervise daily food production operations by maintaining compliance with FDA, HACCP, and safety regulations while managing inventory accuracy and high-value thaw areas. Coordinate deliveries, oversee preventive maintenance schedules, and prepare management reports on attendance, labor, and quality metrics. Manage a staff of up to 30 hourly employees through daily manpower planning, shift scheduling, performance coaching, and corrective action planning in alignment with union agreements. Ensure strict adherence to wage and hour policies, including rest and meal breaks, while driving productivity improvements and reducing turnover.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment
- Strong and effective leadership skills
- Ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees
- Ability to train others
- Ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
