Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, including scheduling personnel for shipping and receiving, managing specialists and forklift operators, and directing activities for storage buys, inventory control, and equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and OSHA requirements while handling progressive disciplinary processes and employee inquiries. Coordinate with other departments, monitor paperwork flow, resolve discrepancies in invoices and packing slips, and execute storage buy audits. Maintain accurate activity reports and ensure proper product staging and inventory rotation.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience
- preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
