Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, including scheduling personnel for shipping and receiving, managing specialists and forklift operators, and coordinating with the Receiving Supervisor on freight schedules. Lead day-to-day activities such as inventory control, storage buy transactions, equipment maintenance, and safety program compliance while ensuring all staff follow standard operating procedures. Handle progressive disciplinary processes, resolve discrepancies in paperwork and invoices, and execute storage buy audits to ensure proper product staging and inventory rotation. Monitor activity reports and facilitate efficient cross-departmental coordination.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience
- preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
- Ability exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
