Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations for store distribution, supervise warehouse personnel (including specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators), and coordinate freight scheduling. Manage safety programs, training on standard operating procedures, inventory control, and equipment maintenance; resolve discrepancies in shipping, receiving, and paperwork; generate activity reports for management; ensure efficient, cost-conscious operations and a productive labor climate through disciplinary processes as needed; collaborate with other departments to facilitate warehouse workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
