Job Summary
Oversee daily warehouse workflow by scheduling staff, ensuring safety compliance, and managing hiring, training, and discipline. Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient operations while resolving discrepancies in shipping, invoices, and packing slips. Complete required management reports and execute necessary maintenance activities. Research and present new ideas to improve warehouse processes. Attend scheduled and impromptu meetings as needed. Requires five years of warehouse experience with supervisory skills and a high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional supervisory and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of related experience in a warehouse setting
- Supervisory experience
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
