Job Summary
Oversee warehouse employees to meet business objectives for safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness. Counsel hourly staff on needs and concerns while addressing performance behaviors through commendation and correction. Apply the Quality Network problem solving process to identify area opportunities and engage the workforce for ideas. Utilize the Workplace Organization process to improve layouts and efficiency, and conduct daily meetings to communicate business performance. Perform daily timekeeping system updates, weekly safety observation tours, and daily SOP audit checks. Plan daily workloads in advance, enforce shop rules, and observe contractual requirements. Document activities using the A-3 reporting format and advance skills through the Individual Development Plan process. Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee apprised of all pending activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- 1-2 years of technical or business school training
- Training in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training
- 10+ years of experience

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Knowledge of basic math
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Understand of basic technology of area where assigned
- Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems
- Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output
- Knowledge of quality control procedures
