Job Summary
Plan, assign, and direct all distribution center activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and sanitation. Supervise support staff on development, succession, and growth while ensuring accurate systematic transactions for receipts, shipments, and customer claims. Coordinate shift coverage, handoffs, and staffing to meet KPIs for inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, and fill rates. Identify process improvements and cost savings opportunities while driving safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance. Work closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Safety, and Maintenance to support operational efficiency goals and change sustainment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a distribution center, warehouse or supply chain workplace capacity
- Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks)
- Prior experience with WMS system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, computer-based applications and have WMS systems experience
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Can adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to successfully lead others through change
- Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Are highly organized with an ability to prioritize and pay attention to the details
- Are a team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines
- Are adept at selecting, coaching, developing, engaging, and retaining a team of employees
- Regular shift hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday PM through Friday AM
- Supervisors are required to report for duty 30 minutes before to the start of their shift and remain on duty for 30 minutes after the end of their shift
Desired Qualifications
- Health and Safety, and Workers Compensation compliance experience is preferred
- Are familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices
- SAP operations system knowledge preferred
- Having SAP experience is preferred
