Job Summary
Issue material under proper authorization, process and file required records, and operate Company automotive equipment to pick up, haul, and deliver materials. Check received material for quantity, identity, breakage, and condition; initiate and process material receipts. Identify, sort, and record returned material, placing usable items in stock and sorting non-usable items into scrap containers. Prepare and pack material for shipment or storage, including shipping hazardous materials like gasoline, oil, and lead-acid batteries under required safety procedures. Operate material handling equipment including motorized forklifts and road vehicles, with the ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds. Work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments, including heat and inclement weather. Complete a Physical Ability Test (PAT) and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year work experience in inventory control and management, material handling, warehousing, or related experience
- Basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo
- Sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above
- Physical capabilities to perform the required work
- Strong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
- Successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT)
- Ability to operate material handling equipment including motorized forklifts and road vehicles
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and within all weather patterns
- Steel-toe boots
