Job Summary
Verify items received and shipped by checking identifying information, inspecting condition, and recording counts. Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock while using handheld scanners to track pallet locations. Prepare products for shipment by pulling, packing, loading, and securing items using defined procedures. Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles including forklifts, power jacks, and high lift equipment, completing pre-use inspections and maintaining certifications. Process inventory through stacking, restacking, wrapping, and unwrapping pallets according to customer specifications. Perform general housekeeping including sweeping and emptying garbage while monitoring case and pallet integrity. Report substandard items to supervision and stretch wrap pallets manually or with powered machines. Work in a freezer/refrigerator environment, regularly standing and walking for eight hours while lifting up to 60 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a freezer/refrigerator environment
- Effectively handle lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds frequently
- Frequently bend, twist, stoop, grip, climb or balance, and reach with hands and arms
- Meet attendance requirements of the position
- Maintain certifications to use powered equipment through safe work practices and following of procedures
- Maintain a safe working environment by following safety rules and regulations
- Safely perform job duties by maintaining a safe working environment, following safety rules and regulations, being aware of surroundings, not using machines unless trained and other techniques
- Use non-motorized pallet jack
- Drug Free Workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Prior warehouse/distribution experience
- Prior use of forklift and other motorized equipment
- Customer service experience
- Use strong math skills to count and multiply accurately
