Job Summary
Receive tasks from the Project/Warehouse Manager and provide leadership to warehouse staff, planning and managing operations for receipt, stowage, storage, issue, and transport of materials to support the Production Plant Albany. Allocate resources, monitor performance, and ensure work is scheduled to maximize resource use while preventing wasteful labor-hour methods. Spot check completed work for compliance with contract sequences, procedures, and deadlines, and review training requirements to ensure personnel qualifications match duties. Maintain current licenses, certifications, and documentation for all staff, enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations, and account for all assigned property. Ensure adequate personnel assignment to functional areas and communicate effectively with employees, government representatives, and outside contacts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree and High School Diploma
- At least five (5) years of experience of Logistics, warehousing, and distributions supervisory experience
- Minimum of three (5) years of experience using WMS or equivalent Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years
- Possess the basic knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and be responsible for the successful completion of the work
- Required to obtain and maintain a valid operating permit for the specific type of MHE (4K and 6K capacity)
- Knowledgeable of established warehousing and material handling methods and techniques
- Have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this supervisory role
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government Representative, and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card through a favorable Personnel Security Investigations and subsequent National Agency Check with Inquiries
- SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must pass a base security background check for CAC
- US Citizenship is a requirement for at this location
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
