Warehouse Specialist (Quality Control Evaluator)

Job Summary
Conduct warehousing duties requiring an understanding of the storage plan, including rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials to report deterioration and damage. Verify materials against receiving documents, route items to prescribed storage locations, and store or palletize according to prescribed methods. Independently inspect distribution processes for conformity to quality standards and operational directives, documenting surveillance results on quality control reports. Maintain QC files, address nonconforming findings with management, and perform follow-up surveillance after corrective actions. Operate hand or power trucks and use WMS and Government Data Systems to perform quality control duties.
Required Qualifications
- United States citizen
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Minimum of three months in material handling, supply distribution, inspection, quality assurance, or related processes
- Ability to use the DSS and other automated distributions systems
- Ability to follow requirements of MIL-STD 129 or DLA Manuals and other directives as required
- Licensed and experienced in the use of the MHE within 30 days of selection
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Ability to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and software applications
- Ability to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands
- Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders
- Ability to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a Respirator Physical and Fit Test qualification
- Ability to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
- Ability to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
