Job Summary
Obtain products from inventory to fill orders, prepare containers for shipment, and enter shipments into the computer system to generate shipping tickets. Receive and unload incoming materials, comparing quantities against packing slips and freight bills, then document discrepancies and report damaged goods to the supervisor. Enter received goods into the computerized inventory system, maintain a clean work area following safety regulations, and perform period-end inventory counts. Pull and push pallets using a pallet jack, reach overhead to select and put away product, and climb a 25-foot ladder carrying boxes up to 20 lbs. Consistent attendance is required, with the ability to stand or walk for 8-10 hours while lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
Required Qualifications
- General knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
- Ability to input data into computer system and create reports
- Consistent and punctual attendance
- Physical strength to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
- Lift and move totes up to 50 pounds
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations
Desired Qualifications
- Fed Ex and UPS familiarity
- High School Diploma or GED
