Job Summary
Warehouse Specialist responsible for the distribution of building materials (primarily roofing and siding) to residential and commercial builders and contractors. Safely operate equipment to transport and pick up materials, read orders/invoices to determine product needs, and assist with loading/unloading using a forklift. Communicate with customers, dispatchers and management; provide personal customer service; maintain professional demeanor; handle feedback and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. Requires lifting up to 100 pounds, basic math, and ability to read and comprehend instructions; prior forklift/Moffett experience and a valid license are preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
- Knowledge of building materials product is preferred.
- Forklift and/or Moffett experience are preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry building materials product by hand weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Strong basic math skills which include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
