Job Summary
Perform full range of duties in the receipt, stow and issue of material in accordance with MIL-STD 129N. Responsibilities include inventory actions, identifying/classifying/accepting/rejecting/disposing of material per regulations, visual or instrument-based examinations under supervision, loading/unloading on skids and pallets, operating tools and equipment, inputting data to DSS and other automated systems, operating MHE with required license, counting/weighing/labeling, inspecting materials, reading specifications/drawings/prints, preparing distribution reports, and performing preventive maintenance on related equipment. Works in a shop/warehouse environment with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds; no supervisory duties. Equal Opportunity Employer. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years specific experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, or related areas
- Proficient in the use of Distribution Standard System (DSS) and other automated distribution systems used at site
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook software
- Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail
- Ability to acquire a license to use Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) license must be certified to operate MHE; Valid driver’s license
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a US Government background check
