Job Summary
Prepare, inspect, and repair exhibit inventory for trade shows by testing lighting, performing minor repairs, and reloading items into shipping containers. Operate a forklift to load semi-trailers and unload freight upon event returns, while writing detailed manifests that include hardware and setup instructions. Conduct thorough checks to identify damages or missing items, ensuring accurate manifests for outbound shipments. Collaborate with sales teams and project managers to maintain comprehensive knowledge of client products and unique needs. Travel frequently to supervise setups and dismantles, supporting clients with exceptional service. Work nights, weekends, and extended hours as needed, lifting up to 75 pounds and performing physical tasks in various conditions.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of related experience
- Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize your own work processes efficiently while staying organized
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be a strong representative of CenterPoint
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock
- Willingness to work nights, weekends and extended hours as needed
- Willingness to travel to trade shows/events
- Safe operation of electric forklifts for high pile storage
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in IS software is preferred
- Previous trade show experience preferred but not required
