Job Summary
Warehouse Sanitation role at SpartanNash/C&S Wholesale Grocers site in Bluefield, VA. Responsible for unloading products from trucks, breaking down pallets, stacking and organizing items into racks/pick slots; assisting with sanitation duties (cleaning warehouse, disposing of trash), fueling/washing/cleaning semi-trucks/trailers as assigned; may assist with checking product against PO labels and with selection orders, labeling pallets, and ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Requires lifting 30-60 lb repeatedly and up to 75 lb with assistance, operating equipment such as electric pallet jacks and high-lift devices, and adhering to safety guidelines in a multi-temperature warehouse environment. Must communicate in English, follow verbal/written instructions, work independently in a fast-paced setting, and be flexible with shift timing including weekends and overtime. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, pacing, and teamwork within a distribution-center warehouse setting; no visa sponsorship is available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (Preferred) or equivalent
- One year warehouse experience preferred
- Experience operating power industrial equipment (electric pallet jack, long-tongued electric pallet jack, high-extender high lift) preferred
- Must be able to work 8-10 hour shifts
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, day and evening hours, and overtime as assigned
- Must be able to read and interpret order forms and labels in English
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments
- Must follow safety policies
