Job Summary
Warehouse Safety Supervisor manages all aspects of safety in the warehouse, ensuring OSHA/regulatory compliance, leading safety programs, and driving improvements. Responsibilities include conducting safety audits and risk assessments, investigating incidents and near misses, tracking safety metrics (TRIR, incident trends), delivering safety training, leading safety meetings, enforcing PPE usage, coordinating workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs, maintaining safety documentation, and partnering with operations to uphold safe practices and accountability. Requires leadership ability, strong communication, and a track record of implementing corrective actions and continuous safety improvements in a warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and emergency response planning
- First Aid/CPR certification and OSHA 30-hour training preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
