Job Summary
Pride Health seeks a Safety Specialist for a contract role to implement workplace safety and compliance through audits, training, and adherence to OSHA standards. The role includes conducting safety training, managing investigations, and supporting safety initiatives within the workplace.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or a related field, OR a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive workplace situations.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Experience leading safety initiatives or managing a safety team.
- Familiarity with accident investigation, hazard analysis, and job safety assessments.
- Background in worker’s compensation case management and safety response procedures.
- Previous experience in healthcare, industrial, or manufacturing safety environments.
- Demonstrated passion for workplace safety and employee well-being.
