Job Summary
Conduct daily warehouse walkthroughs to identify, address, and document potential safety hazards. Facilitate weekly safety meetings and monthly Safety Committee meetings with warehouse and office personnel. Lead forklift certification and recertification training while investigating incidents to implement corrective actions. Monitor pre-shift and post-shift inspections for material handling equipment and coach employees on safe work practices and housekeeping. Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain safety records. Partner with operations leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives and assist warehouse operations during downtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience
- Strong focus on workplace safety
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices
- Strong understanding of dock safety
- Strong understanding of material handling equipment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations
- Excellent communication skills
