Job Summary

Break down merchandise inside trailers and containers, then accurately match packing lists to vendor labels using RF scanners to ensure precise inventory counts. Safely load and unload goods onto pallets and skids while applying matching AFW labels as directed. Operate certified warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, adhering to strict Lock Out Tag Out procedures and proper lifting techniques. Maintain clean department areas and walk lanes while committing to safety policies and team communication. This 3 AM shift role requires standing, stooping, and bending for eight hours daily with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work at heights up to 35 feet.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift, lower, move, carry, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs
  • Skill to handle/manipulate merchandise up to 250 lbs frequently
  • Capability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
  • Lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily
  • Continuous use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
  • Ability to lift, lower, move, carry, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs and the skill to handle/manipulate merchandise up to 250 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground
  • Ability to work in variable environments with different lighting, loud exterior noise, and flooring

  • Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
  • Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to work well with team members, management, and other departments
  • Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures
  • Promotes awareness of safety
  • Owns personal safety and the safety of all others at all times
  • A pre-employment drug screen, background and fit for duty exam check must be passed upon job offer

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker preferred
