Job Summary
Determine shipment methods, schedule distribution and transportation, and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents. Assemble containers and crates, inspect incoming goods against invoices, and maintain internal record-keeping systems. Route goods to storage areas, pack and unpack shipments, affix identifying information, and oversee loading and unloading. Supervise material handlers and helpers, record shortages, reject damaged goods, and pay or receive payments for goods. Handle heavy loads in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail, dependability, and organization.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 7 months experience
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada
- Other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit
