Job Summary
Warehouse Receiver responsible for receiving and loading local deliveries, ensuring items match invoices/delivery orders, organizing shipments to dry storage, coolers, freezers, and designated sections for meat, fish, and produce. Maintains food safety per FIFO, date marking, labeling, and HACCP; manages monthly inventories, monitors stock levels, and communicates changes or shortages. Collaborates with team to meet department goals while upholding food safety compliance. Requires forklift/pallet jack operation, ability to lift/move packages, and capacity to work long hours with varying shifts. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a storing and handling merchandise position, preferably in the food industry
- F&B and Food Handling experience
- Ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push packages as needed
- Ability to drive a sit-down or stand-up forklift and operate an electric pallet jack
- Work in a fast- paced environment with excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills
- Complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines and substantial workload
- Outstanding and transparent communication skills
- Capable to work independently and in a team environment
- Dedication and attention to detail with regards to customer service
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on approach and ability to react with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs
