Job Summary
Put Away Unpacker is responsible for receiving approved shipments from Incoming Inspection, unpacking cartons, crates, and pallets, verifying packaging integrity, and accurately placing inventory into designated warehouse storage locations. The role involves transporting materials to shelving, bins, or racks, operating pallet jacks and occasionally forklifts, supporting loading/unloading, maintaining organized storage, and assisting with inventory accuracy through stock rotation and cycle counts. Safety and quality standards must be followed, with attention to labels, quantities, and part numbers. The position requires the ability to read warehouse documentation, basic math, and the capability to work independently or in a team; forklift operation skills or the willingness to learn are expected. The work is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, stocking, receiving, or inventory experience preferred
- Ability to read labels, part numbers, and warehouse documentation accurately
- Basic math and counting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklift equipment
