Job Summary
As a full-time Warehouse Product Repairer Specialist at Nebraska Furniture Mart, you’ll repair, touch up, and rebuild furniture to ensure it remains in sellable condition for customers. Duties include inspecting defects, performing repairs such as removing/installing coverings, padding, webbing and springs, operating power tools and sewing machines for ornamental trim, matching stain and paint colors, completing in-home furniture repairs, managing inventory and merchandise movement, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), 3-5 years of furniture repair experience, 1-2 years of customer service experience, and a valid driver’s license for service-van duties. Flexibility to work night, weekend, and/or early morning hours is needed based on business needs, along with completing pre-employment screening.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Technical or Trade school certificate in Furniture repair (Preferred)
- 3-5 years of Furniture repair experience
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- 1-2 years of furniture, flooring, and/or appliance, electronics products experience
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record required for staff who drive a service van
- Ability to lift/push/pull required weights
- Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
