Job Summary
Record all goods with accuracy and dispatch products to Outer Banks stores by driving delivery vehicles between Ocracoke Island, Beaufort, and Virginia Beach. Load and unload merchandise safely, lift up to 100 pounds using dollies and forklifts, and maintain professional demeanor in retail operations. Read and interpret purchase orders, deliver supplies to requested locations, and distribute internal mail. Work independently with minimal supervision while managing warehouse storage areas. This full-time, non-management role requires a clear driving record, background check clearance, and ability to handle physical demands including standing and climbing. Flexible scheduling offers 3-4 days or full-time availability for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Must be over 18
- Must be able to pass a background check with a clear driving record
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift and move merchandise using appropriate dollies and forklift equipment
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to drive large delivery vehicles all over the Outer Banks safely
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 to 100 pounds
- Ability to drive company vehicles in heavy traffic safely and long distances
- Must be able to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to travel from Ocracoke Island to Beaufort and Virginia Beach some days of the week
