Warehouse Pharmacy Technician II

Job Summary

Inspect and audit compounding materials, compound sterile preparations, and check final products for particulate matter and container integrity. Pick, pack, and assemble supplies and medications for delivery while maintaining warehouse inventory and rotating stock. Coordinate with courier services and pharmacy staff to prioritize mix schedules, track delivery costs, and ensure timely patient deliveries. Adhere to all internal control standards, HIPAA regulations, and state pharmacy technician requirements. Assist in orienting new team members and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Meets all state requirements for a Pharmacy Technician, which may be registration, licensure or certification if required by the state
  • At least 1 year of related experience
  • Current national certification CPhT if required by state
  • Ability to lift a 50 lbs box from the floor
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret operational logistics functions appropriate to duties and responsibilities assigned
  • Ability to operate information systems, follow policy, complete required forms, and prepare reports
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and contribute toward valid conclusions
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with branch departments
  • Remains aware of the supervisory pharmacist's role and responsibility for the integrity of medications during preparation, storage, and shipping
  • Knowledge of geography serviced by the Pharmacy, traffic patterns and drive times
  • Understanding of all service options and delivery time commitments
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirement

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in Warehouse/Distribution/Inventory and Healthcare
  • Current national certification CPhT
  • Prior sterile compounding experience
