Job Summary
Warehouse Person at Amcor responsible for forklift and walkie rider operation, pallet wrapping and scanning, loading/unloading freight, transporting and storing product and raw materials to designated locations with traceability, and conducting daily inspections. Responsibilities include FIFO product movement, using bar-coding equipment, processing UPS orders as needed (up to 35 lbs), preparing sundry orders, picking orders for shipment, housekeeping, maintaining lot control traceability, and controlling non-conforming product. Must uphold Safety Absolutes, work to ISO Standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions, and uphold Quality Standards. Other tasks as assigned. Requires ability to operate in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with extreme temperatures, English literacy, six months of forklift driving experience, ability to lift 35 lbs, PPE compliance, attendance and overtime, and a High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: prior experience in material handling or shipping/receiving.
Required Qualifications
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting
- Capable of working in a NON-climate-controlled warehouse where temps can exceed 102 degrees in summer & freezing temps in winter
- Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English
- Capable of operating a forklift and a walkie rider in a safe and cautious manner; six months of forklift driving experience required
- Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs periodically
- Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask
- Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Work in a safe manner
- Negative drug screen results
