Job Summary
Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or using basic equipment. Identify and discard defective assemblies, marking acceptable and faulty items for repair or return. Read work orders to package finished goods, label and scan barcodes, and place items on conveyor belts. Fold packaging materials as needed and ensure the work area is cleaned before shifts end. Perform all tasks safely while lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods. Work in a fast-paced manner under pressure as part of a team at a light, wood finishing manufacturer in Surrey.
Required Qualifications
- Physical strength is required for manual material handlers who work with heavy materials
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time when preforming repetitive tasks
- Punctual with attendance
- Pay strong attention to detail along with following directions and manuals
- Be team player with a positive attitude
- Work well under pressure
- Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
- Check in-process and completed production items for visual or mechanical defects
- Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies and return faulty assemblies to production for repair
- Read and interpret work orders to package finished goods
- Label and scan barcodes once package is wrapped
- Place finished goods on conveyor belt to be moved to the warehouse
- Fold and assemble packaging materials when required
- Ensure work area is cleaned before shifts end
