Job Summary
Stock incoming merchandise and fill customer orders while safely operating a Stock Picker, Reach Truck, and Sit Down Forklift. Operate a radio frequency scanner and use a hand truck to transport goods across multiple departments. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety policies and lifting techniques. Work independently and as a team member to fulfill the promise of same-day furniture pickup. This role requires working at heights up to 35 feet, standing for eight hours daily, and handling merchandise up to 250 lbs. You must be available for all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications

- Knowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques
- Capability to perform the correct lifting/team lifting techniques
- You have to work at heights! You will fill orders 0 to 35 feet above the ground
- Ability to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends
- Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness
- Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Capacity to effectively work independently of direct supervision
- High school diploma or GED
- A pre-employment drug screen, background and fit for duty exam check must be passed upon job offer

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker preferred - but not required
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted in lieu of diploma
