Job Summary
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a cold storage facility to move goods, load/unload trucks and containers, conduct equipment inspections, maintain organization, assist with inventory counts, and substitute for other operators as needed. Emphasizes safety protocols, adherence to cold-storage environments (temperatures 70 to -15 F), and effective communication with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced, high-demand warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a minimum of 3 months’ forklift experience
- Maintain a valid forklift operator certification
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (minimum of 40 lbs.)
- Comfortable working in cold/freezing temperatures while wearing PPE and freezer gear
