Job Summary
Onsite, full-time Warehouse Operator for Receiving and Warehouse on 2nd shift in Roanoke, VA. Operates swing/reach trucks and a variety of equipment (stand-up reach, counter balance sit-down, pacer trucks) to perform putaway, replenishment, and high‐rack inventory transactions using RF scanners; conducts cycle counts and location verification; resolves inventory issues; completes correction sheets, labels, and damage write-ups; conducts problem-solving for pallets. Requires high school diploma or GED, ability to work at heights up to 40 feet, ambidexterity, ability to lift up to 50lbs, tolerance to above-average temperatures, and willingness to work overtime including weekends. Must complete training for hazardous materials and 40CFR 262.17 where applicable. Shift hours: 2:00pm–12:30am. Base pay around $19/hour plus $1 shift differential; visa sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or secondary GED desired
- Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet on a platform with harness
- Ambidextrous with both hands and feet
- Must be able to work in above average temperatures
- At least two years of experience operating a Raymond reach truck with no accidents or safety violations
- Ability to handle confinement on swing reach trucks and narrow aisles for extended periods
- Good mathematical, computer, and inventory skills with understanding of warehouse operations
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs over extended periods
- Must be able to work overtime and long hours including weekends
- Willing to work with hazardous materials and be trained to understand regulations
- 40CFR 262.17 training as applicable
