Job Summary
Supervise assigned aspects of Distribution Center/Warehouse operations, including commissary services and KCN, Shipping, and Outbound phases. Manage stockers, pickers, shipping staff, and drivers by overseeing training, scheduling, and discipline while ensuring accurate order receipt, inventory stocking, and FIFO rotation. Comply with FDA and OSHA guidelines, address unsafe conditions immediately, and perform daily/weekly audits and cycle counts. Set dock appointments, manage temp labor timesheets, and conduct employee performance reviews. Maintain clean warehouse areas and ensure staff follow all policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of our organization
- Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
