Job Summary
Warehouse Operations Supervisor leads daily distribution center activities, coordinates staff, oversees order fulfillment, inventory management, stocking and material handling, and ensures safety and compliance. Responsibilities include scheduling, labor hours/payroll in the electronic timekeeping system, interviewing and training new teammates, developing staff, driving performance goals, recommending process improvements, maintaining stock accuracy, ensuring adherence to policies (including ISO9002), generating reports for leadership, and supporting warehouse operations for diverse accounts including food. Requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in warehouse operations with supervisory experience preferred; proficient with warehouse equipment and warehouse/Labor Management Systems, and strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
- Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution center experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with warehouse equipment
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Experience with labor management systems
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
