Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee the entire warehouse process from unloading inbound shipments to picking and staging outbound deliveries, ensuring accuracy and safety in accordance with OSHA standards. Lead and supervise warehouse associates by assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, and resolving issues while managing shift schedules and manpower. Maintain physical warehouse conditions through space consolidation, equipment inspection, and layout planning, and support Key Performance Metrics by completing records and reports. Assist with creating and enforcing policies, procedures, and SOPs, and conduct physical inventories to assure inventory integrity. Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends in a variable warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years experience in a similar role within the manufacturing, production, or distribution environments
- 2+ years experience in supervisory role
- Experience in WMS tools in an automated warehouse environment
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
- Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand on feet frequently for long periods of time and walk the fulfillment center and around area
- Ability to work in warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights and weekends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with WMS tools in an automated warehouse environment (HighJump, Manhattan, JDA)
- Labor Management and Quality Management experience
- Proven experience with continuous improvement and fundamental understanding of change management
