Job Summary
Plan daily shipping and receiving activities to achieve department metrics, determining job assignments and coordinating receiving, selection, put-away, safety, inventory control, and sanitation. Interview, train, and develop staffing levels while identifying high-potential team members for leadership succession. Foster positive relationships with team members and union representatives, ensuring adherence to policies and maintaining DC Scorecard metrics. Lead investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and coach staff to meet performance, quality, cost, and service goals. Safely operate material handling equipment and recommend process improvements to leadership. Utilize data-based analysis to identify opportunities for improved operating performance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience
- Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Conflict resolution and performance management
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
