Job Summary

Establish and lead operational procedures for shipment verification, material handling, and inventory management while ensuring the physical condition of warehouse equipment is maintained. Confers with customer service and sales to coordinate activities, partners with customers to address concerns, and ensures safe operation meeting sanitation and security standards. Leads distribution center staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training hourly staff, while managing the operation's budget and P&L. Monitor key performance indicators to ensure profitability and productivity, ensuring compliance with CTPAT, ISO, and AIB certifications. Report food safety issues to senior management for food accounts and submit repair work orders for equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with warehouse management systems preferred
  • Experience with labor management systems and productivity initiatives preferred
  • Lean certifications preferred
