Warehouse Operations Manager - Final Mile

Job Summary
Establish and lead operational procedures for shipment verification, material handling, and inventory management while ensuring physical condition and maintenance standards for warehouse equipment. Confers with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities, partners with customers to address concerns, and monitors facility KPIs to ensure profitability and productivity. Leads staffing efforts through interviewing, hiring, and training, while managing the budget and P&L of the operation. Ensures compliance with CTPAT, ISO, and AIB certifications, reports food safety issues for relevant accounts, and resolves operational problems to maintain efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management systems preferred
- Experience with labor management systems and productivity initiatives preferred
- Lean certifications preferred
