Job Summary
Load and unload trucks, stage materials, and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders. Clean tent vinyl using approved equipment, inspect for damage, and prepare cleaned materials for storage or reuse. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard vehicles safely while organizing, storing, and moving materials in designated areas. Process shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, track shipment data in systems, and report discrepancies to appropriate teams. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas across the dock, yard, and processing floor. Perform daily equipment inspections, assist with inventory counts, and handle seasonal tasks such as snow removal.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable, safety-focused, and ready to contribute
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Basic communication skills
- Forklift certification (required for some roles)
- Ability to stand and remain on feet for extended periods
- Ability to walk, bend, reach, and move materials regularly
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manual handling activities
- Ability to work safely around cleaning equipment, chemicals, and varying outdoor conditions
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dock, yard, or materials-handling environment (helpful but not required)
- Prior forklift experience or certification
- Familiarity with Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation
- Experience working in a high-volume dock or distribution environment
- Experience with cleaning processes, equipment, or large/bulky materials
- Experience working outdoors or in changing weather conditions
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory processes or storage systems
