Warehouse Material Handler

Job Summary
Move materials throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner, including issuing/receiving materials to/from job orders, cycling counts, and packing/shipping customer orders. Operate forklift and crane, perform forklift/crane training and licensing, maintain storeroom accuracy, read component drawings and bills of materials, and communicate shipment tracking. Requires related experience (1-3 years), basic math, English proficiency, familiarity with carrier software, and safety-focused performance in a logistics environment.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to read and comprehend component drawings
- Knowledge of general math
- Ability to read and understand bills of materials
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and material handling equipment
- Knowledge of storeroom procedures
- Knowledge of inventory control methods
- Experience using carrier software (e.g. UPS)
- Knowledge of air and motor freight tariffs
- Experience negotiating transportation bids
- Experience with freight carriers
- Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift, crane, and rigging
- MRP-based computer business system
- Safe working record
