Job Summary
Move products throughout the building from receipt of goods through shipment of customer orders based on business needs. Load trucks with outgoing products and unload incoming materials, then sort and stage pallets in the shipping dock before palletizing and wrapping them. Verify quantity and quality of received materials, maintain data within warehouse management systems, and replenish stock by scanning order tickets and moving products to assigned zones. Pick large quantity orders for Distribution Center customers or specialized kits by scanning order tickets and placing items on pallets or conveyor systems. Perform daily safety inspections of material handling equipment and follow Six Sigma lean manufacturing standards to keep work areas clean and safe.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- one (1) year of relevant work experience
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English
- Must possess knowledge in updating data and navigating through warehouse management systems and various vendor websites (UPS, Fed Ex, Home Depot, etc.)
- Must be able to operate a Class II Order Picker
- Must be able to operate a Class II Stand-Up Forklift
- Must be able to operate an RF Scanner
- Must be able to operate a Pallet Jack
- Ability to demonstrate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of safety awareness
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Must be able to effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Ability to identify issues and see them through to resolution
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) years working in a distribution or manufacturing facility
- Experience operating swing reach truck and cherry picker
- Experience with IMI Series (AS400) and Boss
