Job Summary
Locate materials and verify supplies against pick tickets, then pull, stage, and pack items for internal and external shipping. Prepare finished stock by identifying, crating, loading, and securing products onto carrier vehicles for freight and parcel orders. Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift to unload supplies and assist in routine equipment maintenance. Check gathered items against tickets to ensure quantities, destination, and routing are correct, recording any discrepancies or damages. Maintain established departmental policies and quality improvement objectives while understanding specific customer packaging standards. Full-time, Mon-Fri 8 AM–4:30 PM with flexible hours and some overtime. Requires forklift certification and two years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to read and write in English
- At least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures
- Certified forklift truck operator
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Must be able to lift 500-lb pallets via equipment
- Must have clear vision
- Must have clear hearing
