Job Summary
Lead LEAN-driven performance improvement and operations for a high-volume, multi-shift distribution center. Manage strategic and operational leadership to ensure timely, accurate product receipt and order fulfillment while optimizing resources and staying within budget. Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with company policies, drive continual process improvement, and foster an environment where employees are engaged and committed to company success. Essential duties include supervising staff, participating in recruitment, guiding process managers, aligning productivity, safety, quality, and customer service metrics, and standardizing best practices across distribution centers. Responsibilities also include developing LEAN training, driving staffing flexibility, and ensuring assets are properly controlled and utilized. Implement data-driven performance indicators, communicate work instructions, and lead change to achieve company goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED in relevant field or equivalent
- 5+ years leadership/management experience in high-volume distribution center operations
- LEAN methodology experience and continuous improvement
- Ability to recruit and maintain staffing levels with quality talent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to promote and lead change
- Experience with OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations (as applicable) and safe operating procedures
- Occasional travel to other DCs, corporate offices, and field locations
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
