Job Summary
Lead the organization's Performance Improvement plan and Operational Efficiency initiatives with a data-driven approach to support strategic objectives. Educate Supervisors and team members on identifying key performance indicators, adopting best practices, and executing improvement initiatives. Design staffing strategies to maintain flexible workforces and lead large employee populations in non-exempt and exempt positions. Ensure productivity, safety, quality, and customer service goals are achieved through continuous process improvement and proper execution of performance metrics. Develop LEAN training classes, implement policies to improve distribution center operations, and standardize best practices across Operations and Distribution Centers. Actively participate in recruitment to ensure staffing levels are maintained with quality talent. Ensure physical assets are properly controlled and utilized while driving highest levels of customer quality.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years "hands on" LEAN expert at the management level
- 5+ year(s) previous management experience in a high volume distribution center operation
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive employee, customer and cross-functional team relations
- Ability to effectively promote and lead change
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Insure compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and power industrial equipment requirements
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results
- Position requires occasional travel to other DC's, corporate offices, and field locations
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- High School Degree or GED in relevant field or equivalent
