Job Summary
Manage venue distribution and warehouse operations, including inventory, receiving, purchasing, ordering, lay-ins, and equipment maintenance. Supervise staff on hiring, termination, and performance evaluations while ensuring sanitation systems and stocking levels meet event requirements. Oversee daily opening and closing duties, conduct post-day walk-throughs, and assist with sales, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Perform routine maintenance on concession equipment and verify purchase order specifications for all goods received. Work a variable event-driven schedule including evenings and weekends at an hourly rate of $25.00-$26.00 CAD.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of warehouse/distribution experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Forklift certification.
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner that fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to make sound business/operations decisions (i.e., regarding employee placement, staffing adjustments, and/or responding to technical, product, or equipment challenges during an event) quickly and under pressure.
- Solid working knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping systems.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Possess a valid Food Handler's certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by state or local government.
- Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to venue concession operations.
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Must maintain excellent attendance.
- Must be available to work a variable event-driven schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.
