Job Summary
Control receiving, stocking, and delivery functions to ensure safe, on-time product distribution to customers while coordinating with sales for efficient shipments. Manage warehouse operations including shipping, pulling products, cycle counting, and inventory verification, plus oversee fleet maintenance and DOT compliance. Inspect physical conditions, order repairs, maintain cleanliness per OSHA standards, and assure security of grounds and equipment. Motivate and coach staff, delegate tasks, monitor performance, recruit new employees, and administer company policies. Provide prompt 24-hour support to internal and external customers, maintain confidential supervisory records, and report workplace hazards immediately.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
- additional related training
- direct experience in a material, PVF, or related material distribution operation
- Four (4) years' experience working in a warehouse or closely related environment
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience
- demonstrated capability to supervise
- warehouse-related supervision
- Ability to operate and become certified on forklifts, order pickers, cranes, and other typical warehouse material handling equipment
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of basic warehouse functions and procedures
- Must have a current, valid driver's license
- an acceptable driving record
- the ability to travel as needed to MRC branches and customer locations upon request
- Demonstrated competence in the use of computers and software applications
- Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status
- Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently
