Job Summary
Lead a team of 8-14 warehouse, logistics, and tool room professionals by hiring, training, coaching, and developing personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations. Oversee daily activities including receiving, stocking, picking, staging, and shipping while coordinating inbound deliveries, outbound shipments, and transportation to service locations. Manage inventory accuracy for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and controls equipment, tools, PPE, and MRO by developing standards, monitoring usage trends, and establishing reorder points. Create and enforce warehouse policies, document SOPs, and lead continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity and cost reduction. Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize fleet stock management and material fulfillment.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of warehouse, inventory, and logistics management
- Experience implementing warehouse policy & processes
- Experience managing warehouse personnel
- Proficiency with ERP, inventory management, and MS Office
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Collaborates effectively across departments and seeks input from field personnel, vendors, and internal stakeholders to improve warehouse operations
- Experience supporting HVAC, mechanical, construction, plumbing, electrical, or service operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in varying temperatures
- Occasional lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders when needed
- Use of a computer and handheld devices for inventory management and reporting
- Operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks if certified
