Job Summary
Oversee all warehouse operations, drive financial and performance goals, and balance labor to budget while explaining variances daily. Lead the team by interviewing, hiring, training, and developing members, then keep them engaged and accountable. Set standards for product quality, safety, and service expectations, and maintain a safe, clean facility by supervising repairs and addressing concerns. Manage inventory, purchasing, and receiving using warehouse management systems, and build efficient schedules to match business needs. Rotate into other departments like Production as required and attend regular team meetings. Communicate timely feedback to supervisors and delegate effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of warehouse or distribution center experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and get results through a team
- Comfort working in computer-based warehouse management systems
- Strong communication skills with both team members and customers
- A problem-solver's mindset — especially around conflict resolution and continuous improvement
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Willingness to work extended or varied hours, including holidays, as the business demands
- Ability to move freely throughout the warehouse, including production and support areas
- Ability to stand approximately 90% of the workday, with frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing
- Ability to lift and move goods weighing up to 80 pounds
- Manual dexterity for warehouse equipment and tools
