Job Summary
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods. Develop and implement warehouse procedures and policies to optimize efficiency, safety, and inventory accuracy. Manage and mentor a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality control departments to ensure seamless material flow and on-time delivery. Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, adhering to all company safety standards and regulatory requirements. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse personnel
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing warehouse setting
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with automated warehouse systems (e.g., AS/RS, AGVs)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
- Proficiency in using advanced WMS features for data analysis and optimization
- Project management experience, particularly with facility upgrades or new technology implementation
- OSHA 30-hour certification for General Industry
