Job Summary
The Warehouse Shipping Manager oversees all receiving, warehouse and shipping functions, drives lean and 6S improvements, maintains inventory accuracy in SAP, and leads staff development. The role coordinates with Sales, Production, Customer Service, and Purchasing to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction, manages FIFO and other lean inventory strategies, and ensures safe, efficient operations including forklift handling, packaging, labeling, documentation, and carrier scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Possess (4) year College Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess at least five years of similar or related experience in a warehouse setting
- Possess proficiency in one or more software programs including Microsoft Office products. SAP experience a plus
- Possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, requests for quotes, technical drawings, and procedure manuals. Possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Possess communications skills using common courtesy and the ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers or employees
- Possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
